My Experience Writing

1/26/2012

My blog writing experience thus far is very limited. I haven't ever really written any "blogs" although I have thought about it many times in the past. I have signed up for countless different blogging websites but never really make use of them after the initial sign up process. I suppose that the only real online writing that I do is in reviews on various products for forum boards concerning my freelancing job. I have tossed about the idea of creating a blog solely for my personal review on products as well as real tips and techniques but I haven't actually gone through with anything yet.
I am majoring in English so I have done a lot of writing off of the internet in terms of essays and creative pieces. In previous semesters I have taken writing courses at Kean that include, but are not limited too, College Composition, Advanced Composition, Research and Technologies, Writing Fiction, and a few others that I can't remember off of the top of my head. I am comfortable writing in many different styles and formats. I suppose that one of the reasons that I took this class was because I wanted to explore the best style of writing that would be more appealing to people reading a blog. I find that when I stumble across blogs online that I prefer the much more informal type of writing rather than a typical journalistic formatted entry. This is why I am writing this blog in that fashion. I think that blogs that are written in a more conversational fashion are more enjoyable for readers to read. Does anybody else agree?

I Agree with you 100%. Im drawn to blogs that I can almost hear the writers own voice, I like that personal touch. :) I'll try to see if I can implement the same concept in my own blog.
